HELP PLEASE UK BASED

I have shamo and modern game birds. It doesn’t matter how clean, snug or higher their perches they will not roost in the shed. They choose to roost in the trees, this is fine in the British summer but I worry about it for the long winter ahead. They are fit and healthy. People tell me not to worry as they are the closest thing to wild birds possible and they will manage just fine. Anyone had experience with this?
they roost very high in the trees so foxes are not an issue in the slightest .

If they can avoid predation, I guess they'd be fine - pheasants, grouse etc. seem to survive the winters here, and presumably your cozy shed will be available to them should they decide it's all too much...?
