Hello everyone writing this in a hurry it's cold here and my hen suddenly started sneezing hard and gasping for air badly she's walking around and stuff but it looks scary she also keeps scratching her nose, i gave her some vet rx and put some vapor rub on her feathers to help her breathe ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS IS??? thanks!!!!

What is cold? I couldn’t find an area on your profile and cold can be a relative term. That helps to know because.P I had a friend who is chicken pass because of the type of bedding they were using. There could be lots of different things so more information would be helpful on how to help. And I know we all love to help and I know I do because I got home 20 minutes ago to a chicken who passed from hypothermia, but more information would help the community help you Because that’s what we do here

And for now while you try to figure it out if available if you have some kind of crate or kennel or carrier to just bring her inside for the night would be helpful to kind of figure out what’s going on with her to keep an eye on her. If that’s a possibility.

Yes she's inside now

It's around 50 degrees here, the vet rx seems to have helped she stopped doing the sneezing so aggressively

I definitely don’t think it’s the cold. We haven’t seen 50° here in a while. Been below freezing temperatures for weeks till last week like every winter. My chickens I’ve had handled down to the single digits. Remember that chickens have their own down coat they wear all the time. So they stay warmer than we do so 50° is like a perfect temperature almost for them.
But it does have me thinking of what could possibly be wrong, but it would be best to bring her in (if possible) because the best way to figure it out is to keep an eye on symptoms and just overall watching them helps figure out what could be causing it.
What type of bedding do you use if any in the coop?
