Help please...What do you call this type of roofing?

Its is called corrogated roof. Sold at lowes in 8ft, 12 ft, and 16ft sections. Comes in clear, white, smoke, Black(I think), and steel. Will be found in the lumber department by the shingles.

It really has no special name. Oh some info! If you live somewhere with really strog winds it wont hold up long. It is a thicker plastic but not thick enough to withstand high winds. It is good though to give your chickens a little more light if you use clear. It will be around 20 a panel. Which they are a little over 2 ft wide.

Need any other info just ask. Sorry to sound so wierd I work at Lowes so I just start blurting all this out when someone asks about it.

I've used the Lowe's products on a lot of projects. It's good to put in a panel or two to let in light, but it isn't the most durable roofing. I'd say stick with the metal for the most part and use a couple of panels for lights.

Or, you could go to the project desk and special order the good stuff rather than the cheap stuff they carry in stock. The good stuff is much more durable and isn't really all that much more expensive for a smaller roof. Also, it comes pre-cut to custom size, which is a great advantage.

It comes in colors, with color matched screws and they have all the trim items to match too.

they used to be made of fiber glass, but now are made mostly of UV resistant clear or slightly tinted plastic,. if you are looking for the ones i've seen used for some coop designs with clear tops!

if you are going with the plastic panels i suggest pre-drilling the holes and getting some washers to help secure them. the plastic could crack if you don't do this.

Likely Tuftex. Attach with neoprene screws or nails.

We have 4 coops with the tuftex roofing panels. They make a sturdy nail with a neoprene washer specificly for this. Works great and no drilling required. Nails should be placed in the valley of the corrigation and driven far enough to compress the washer.​

We have the steel corrugated roofing on our coop and we insulated the ceiling on the inside. It's worked great for the 2 years it's been up!
