Help Please, What is This?

I found this in the coop this morning. I believe it is from my 28 week old Cuckoo Marans. She has laid only 5 eggs since mid-August. I have never seen anything like this, as I am new to chicken raising. As you can see, it has a soft yolk and a soft white is inside too.There was also a nicely formed eggshell with the yolk and white inside it. Please help! Thanks!

It looks like it could be what's referred to as a "lash" egg.

That's what I was thinking too.......I'll do some research on lash eggs.....thanks Eggsoteric

There is not much information about lash eggs out there.......basically........it could be nothing dangerous to the hen or it could mean death to a hen........?!
