Help please with cup waterer....urgent

...the reducing valve is turned all the way down... What am i doing wrong ???
In order to reduce the pressure you screw the knob/cap all the way up. Is that what you mean?

That regulator should almost completely shut the water pressure off when it's screwed all the way up.

Yes the water is "turned down" or the cap is turned up... but the water certainly is not almost all the way off... it still squirts out at quite a bit of pressure... you can see the pressure being reduced each time you turn the cap, but It still squirts out a foot or more out the end of the pressure reducer....
I think thats the problem, is that either the pressure reducer isnt working, or isnt working well enough.

just not sure if I should return this one and get a "better" one.. or go with the bucket and float.

I wanted the fresh water, not the sat in a bucket for several days water... :(

I'd probably try to return it and get a better unit. Or at least one that works correctly.

I understand you're not wanting to add extra equipment. I will caution you to check the hose you're using to make sure it's potable water rated. You don't want it to leach stuff into the water. It's usually not a problem if you use it to fill a container because the contact time is so short that it won't leach, but having it full of water all the time can make a difference.
