My bantam hens rear is very very enlarged. It is soft and only seems to be firm because it is so enlarged. She is eating fine and color looks normal. What could be wrong!?!?? I'm so worried! THANK YOU!!
 
Could you post a picture?

It could be an infection, egg-binding, water belly or egg yolk peritonitis. It could also be a hernia.
 
I'm trying hun... can't quite figure it out :'(

Oh gosh!! Is this bad!?!? Do you know what I can do? :'(
 
If it is either of those (and I'm not sure that it is) then I don't know if there is anything that can be done. Surgery may help peritonitis (egg yolks dropping into the abdomen) but water belly is caused by liver failure.

How old is she? Is she still laying?
 
Omg she was one of my first girls! She's only like 3. Oh man this really sucks
