Has she been laying eggs, or in an off-cycle?

I ask because a neighbor's dog got one of my hens, and while she seemed fine for the first couple of days, she went downhill and I realized the dog had broken an egg inside her. She died about 5 days after the attack.

I don't mean to scare you, but some things go unseen, so just something else to consider.

She was molting and hadn't laid an egg for a bit when she got attacked by a chihuahua. He got her pinned up in a corner and ripped her up pretty bad on her back area.

Thank you everyone for your advice. Sadly my chicken died. I tried everything I could but it still wasnt enough. I feel that I at least gave her peace for the last few days that she had

Yes, it seems like she waited till I got home to pass. I got home from getting her some supplies, her breathing was very faint so I picked her up and held her. She closed her eyes and stopped breathing. She went peacefully
