I keep them separated from the adults at night in a different pen, do u think if I would keep them all together at night that would help or hurt???
For ducks it’s not so much Godzilla but the axe murder phase.We've never had ducks but from our experiences with chickens they go through what we call the Godzilla phase where they just realize that we(humans) are giants and could be a predator. Even in chicks we handle regularly and talk to it's like one day they're more skittish and generally calm down closer to laying age. Some take until after they begin laying. Sometimes there are two Godzilla phases but most birds calm down and remember you're a friend.
The biggest thing is being calm and gentle and soft spoken around them. That and patient endlessly patient.
Again I'm not sure if it's the same thing with chickens and ducks or not.
