Hello all - I bought these three from a man who said they’d just started laying.... didn’t get a chance to look at them properly before getting home. And now I’m seeing roosters ... but could they be older hens? Probably a mixed breed .... have I been swindled ??
(and stupid for not inspecting them properly of course ...)
Are they all roosters?

To me they look like red sexlinks of some sort, in not so great condition or are they molting? I'm guessing hens, but give them a week of proper nutrition and you'll most likely see eggs. Maybe send a new pic then as well if you're not getting eggs?

i asked about the patchy feathers and the guy said it was an overactive rooster (or a few..)
i'm guessing a rooster wouldn't try to go on another rooster so that's a point in favour of hens? I was concerned about the large combs, they are very large, but no long tails?

so also if they're not fighting does that mean they're probably not all roosters? (or does that depend on whethery they know each other?)
it would be disappointing if they were all male, particulalry for my kids who have already named them!
