Help please! I had a hen sitting on eggs well all hatched but one and that one I can hear in the shell peeping and the egg is rocking when you sit it down so I know it’s about to start cracking open the shell any hour now I feel like. I have an incubator The nurture right 360 but I haven’t ever used it cause my momma hens usually are pretty good about hatching them all out no problem. So this will be a first for me. What do I set it on and all that stuff? Or what else can I do so that this baby gets to hatch properly?

Has momma left the nest? Why does the egg need put in an incubator?

Mom has left the nest completely I even tried to take the other chicks from her and she went crazy trying to find them. I have the incubator set at 99.5 temp and 72% humidity. Do I need to mist with water since it’s due to hatch really soon. I hear it chirping inside from the incubator and the eggs is moving a lot from it trying to break through the shell.

Don't mist. Just leave it alone, it will likely be tomorrow before he pops

Okay just making sure. I got told on another thread to mist it but I don’t see the reasoning for that since it already has humidity. Thank you.

You shouldn't need to with 70% humidity, but monitor it just it case
