help please

Wow, that's crazy. I've seen some sites that I questioned during my hatchery search. I got my recent chicks from Meyer, which isn't all that close to me but still got my chicks to me in less than 24 hours. But I was originally looking for closer options. I'll definitely fully vet anyone if I buy from elsewhere!

Positive Hatchery Experience:
Myers Hatchery gave me a fantastic experience. They worked with me to choose unique breeds, managed to ship all the way to my island (no small feat), and kept communication clear and supportive throughout the entire process. When one chick didn’t survive the journey, they responded with a heartfelt note and an immediate refund—true customer care.

On Making Lists:
The problem with compiling a list is that it only encourages more of the same. Years ago, I put together a list of bogus avian rescues (oh trust me- there are oodles). The backlash was intense, and instead of solving the issue, it just pushed them to create new fronts—leaving me to waste energy blocking endless aggressive harassing emails and an entire facebook group went after my character to (falsely) shame me.
My efforts to find out what happened to a friends 'missing' Yorkie in Philly ended with me locating the dog but they didn't get the dog back. The mother lived alone with her daughter and feared retaliation if the police got involved. Her neighbor stole the dog out of their yard.

The weird part is the fake website used the address of an actual Myers hatchery on the fake website. The fake website is still up and running
I thought was odd too. You have to know you'll get figured out when you use another hatchery's actual address?

I added a rooster a couple years ago so I don't have to buy any hatchery chicks from all around the country anymore
That's my goal. I've got 20 birds right now, from 1 week up to 12 weeks tomorrow. In that group, I've got 7 known males and a silkie that I've got no idea. Well, I say 7. I lost an orpington chick from my 1 week olds yesterday, so if that one was the one male I ordered, I will have 6 males instead. 15 of my 20 are bantams of various breeds. I will be making decisions probably over the next few weeks who to keep and who goes. I just don't want to do it too soon and risk giving away what would've been a great roo.
