HELP PLEASE!!

I have a hatching Call duck that it stuck inside its egg. There's a huge hole on top but its beak isn't any wear near the edges. It has one leg sticking out of the hole and its struggling. It can't move its head to unzip anymore of its shell.

What can I do??? Please help!!

VERY gently start picking away small pieces of the shell in the same pattern that it would zip, use a small pair of blunt-tipped tweezers or something similar. If at any point, you encounter blood, stop, and place a damp paper towel over the exposed part to keep the membrane from drying out, and give it more time.

Note that many times, if they can't make it out of their shell, then it wasn't meant to be...I know, easier said than done.

The duckling made it out after I peeled a little shell away, but it's still attached to the bottom of the shell. Do I wrap it in a paper towel?
