This chick hatched yesterday morning under a broody. The last time I checked on her she was fine. I just went out there and she was laying on her side. I picked her up and she just layed there. I brought her in shes not opening her eyes when I set her down she just kind of rocks back and forth, shes fallen over a couple of times. She is kind of laying back on her, not sure what you call them, knees? Any ideas? She has been pretty active up until now.

Try a hair dryer on her she may have got cold. I revived one the other day doing this, she's now fit and healthy!!!

Great advice, I breath on mine and get them warmed up, sometimes it works.
Also put some suger in water and dunk her beak in it to make her drink it.
This will help boost her a bit.

the chick is too young, give her time...knees? I know it looks like an inverted knee but its actually more of an ankle...its the joint of the tibia and metatarsus...

check this chicken skeleton...

So sorry you lost your little chickie. I lost one of mine today also, much like yours except a few days older. Kept falling over and couldn't stand right. I think some of them have trouble during hatch and just cannot get started and die during the first week. Mine couldn't seem to eat right on it's own.

Not much we can do about it but go on and care for the ones that do make it.

Chicks seem to be as sensitive to extra hot as to too cold. I don;t put babies outside in the summer until they are a week or two old, and then I keep them on the back porch where I can watch them closely, and have fans and misters to keep them cooler.
