I have two one year old chickens. I bought two more chicks and two ducklings in March. I was told they'd all get along fine, but everytime the babies are near the chickens, the older one attack - especially the ducklings. They're in separate coops right now, but I was hoping to put them together eventually. Any advice would be appreciated!

It will take a little time. Sounds like the young ones are not big enough yet. I have 7 2&12 month olds and I kept them in an outside coop, while the 4 older chickens, a rooster and 3 hens, could be around them. I'm letting the young ones out now and the big ones just put them in their place occasionally. They still stay in groups, but soon I'll be letting them roost together. Any time new ones are introduced, they have to establish a new "pecking Order". Good luck and welcome aboard.

give them some time weathering free ranging under your watchful eye and wait until the youngsters are older then you can coop them together it takes some time but it does work and the older ones will put the younger ones in their place.. good luck.
