Help Please!!!

its day 19 for my hen to be sitting and she accidently cracked a small part of one of her eggs. it had a lil bit of blood coming out but the sack didn't break and you can see the baby chicks foot moving. Should I go ahead and break it open or should i let nature take its course. I need advice please help..

I would say leave it alone. Momma knows what she is doing and I am sure this is not the first time this has happened to a hen. It may end up dying but momma may know better what to do in this instance. I think if you mess with it the chick will almost certainly die.

I would leave it. 19 days is really too early, especially if you see blood. Not ready yet. It may still not make it but if you pick at it now, its almost certainly doomed.
