Help!! I have a chicken hawk in my yard. My husband saw it with one of the chickens pinned to the fence of their pen. I went outside and it is badly hurt. Bleeding around his neck area but it is clotted. SHe looks half dead but she's breathing and she opens her eyes when I touch her. Help!!

disinfect the wound and put her in a warm area with no other chickens and a blanket. Any thing to make her comfy. bandage the wound and make sure she doesn't mess with it. give her food and water in reach so that she barely has to move her neck. just keep every thing she needs in reach of her and clean her nest every day to twice a day -- you don't want it to have any way of getting infected. If there are fly around her get a fly trap. Keep cleaning her wound every day and she should get better.

Oh yeah i forgot you should keep her in your house to avoid any bugs or maggots eying up her cut.

There could be injury to the windpipe and esophagus or other internal injuries, a quality of life issue. I recommend that you cull her, dont let her suffer.
