i had a duck come down with coccidiosis. It really thrives in the heat in damp conditions, and it is always damp around ducks. i brought her inside and my vet prescribed Baytril. She couldn't walk, was really weak. i had to force feed and water her. Honestly thought i would lose her. It took 7 days before she turned around. i considered euthanizing her at one point as it seemed she was just not getting better. Glad we both hung in there for the treatment as she is doing great now. Do you have a vet to can take a fecal sample into?

Also, niacin deficiency can cause lameness. Get some brewers yeast and sprinkle it on some defrosted frozen peas.

i really hope your duck feels better soon.

Ripe watermelon and lopes have a good bit of electrolytes and our ducks go crazy for 'em. Hopin' he pulls through. We use a really fine mister to keep a little duck wallow going in the corner of their pen. Added a spare beach umbrella over top just to make sure they have some shade. When it's real bad (like it's been the last few weeks) they rarely leave the shaded mist. Now that he's inside, do you have a tub or vessel that's big enough to let him swim. Being able to dunk their heads is a big part of their keeping themselves healthy.

Sorry for the late update but my duck is much better now. He had a permed any wobble and poor coordination but he is able to keep up with the other sucks and is doing great. Thank all y'all for the advice !
