Help please;
My chicken is one year old and a few weeks ago she went into molt
Then a week ago she started to gape and twist her neck when eating, she has a messy vent and white and green poo. I dont think she has been laying either, but apart from that she was fine in herself; eating drinking foraging. No eye or breathing problems. I started her on Flubenvet in case she had gape worm, plus gave her garlic and electrolye and vitamin in her water. In the last two days she has become very lethargic and huddled with her eyes closed; also unstable and using her wings to steady herself. Yesterday tea time she laid a soft shelled egg. I have also been given her Colloidal Silver, but today put her on anti-biotics as she is really not herself at all. I do not know what else to do to help her

I'm so sorry about your girl.
I know what I'm about to tell sounds awful, but I don't think she will make it. She is still molting from what you said so a lot of her energy is being put into growing back feathers and not much energy is being put in to getting better. I think all you can do is keep doing what you are doing. if you haven't separated her from the rest of the flock I would do that so she won't get the others sick.
I hope she gets better. I know what it feels like to lose one of your feathered friends. one year on Christmas eve the friendly neighborhood hawk came and took my favourite cochin.

How is your hen doing now? Did she have a Mareks vaccine? Check her for mites and lice. Have you added any new chickens where she may have been exposed to a new strain of coccidiosis?

She died last night. Yes she was vaccinated, but I have lost 5 Bantam hens, and two bantam cockerels to Marek's. I thought my chickens would be okay, but I lost two to Marek's and it is clear now that Jade too had Marek's. It seemed to strike Yasmin and Jade when they were in heavy molt, and so run down. Apparently there is a new strain of Marek's that is resistant to the vaccine. My heart is broken

So sorry about your loss
