Help please!!

It's hatch day and my Silkie and I can't contain ourselves!
Unfortunately I came home to this

There is what looks like a tiny pip area the. The big ol' crack

Does she stand a chance? Hoping it wasn't mama hem that did it. The egg doesn't smell and I can't hear anything.

One of my eggs on my last hatch cracked this way... and it was in an incubator so I know that the chick did it. Unfortunately it was one of the first to pip and ultimately I did end up helping the chick. By the time I did the chick was very weak/tired and did not look good. I left him in the bator by himself for a while and a few hours later he did perk up. The next day I could not even pick out which chick it was that had the issue.

I know you said you cannot hear anything... have you tried candling to look for movement? Did you put back under mom or do you have it in an incubator now?

We may have let our girls have too many eggs.
