Have a hen I posted Abt laying a funky egg and that same hen has gotten lethargic and my wife saw her poop earlier tmthe first image is the picture. Is this coccidia? We have corid on hand to treat. Just need to know what u guys think. The internet can be confusing while trying to diagnose chickens. And the second is of her egg a few days ago hasn't laid an egg since vent looks clean and normal. Kind worried now as I work long days and can't personally observe the hen. Thanks in advance

Is she taking water or eating? I would offer some water with electrolytes. That second picture is all white urates or kidney waste, and she could be dehydrated. The first has some green poo, which means that she is not eating much. How old is your chicken? Does she lay eggs normally, and have they had hard shells? Is her tail held up or down?

This thread is related to this one here https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/need-some-help.1491175/ These are related and it would have been best to simply expand on your first one so all the information is together. Your doctor doesn't start a new file on you each time you come in for a visit. It wouldn't be very workable to have your information sitting separately all over the place. Same goes here.

Your hen sounds like she's having a reproductive crisis. It may have something to do with that first blob of an egg, and there may be more hung up inside her, making her feel sick. No, it's likely not coccidiosis.

As @Eggcessive mentioned, she may be dehydrated. If she has an egg stuck, or even a "sort-of" egg, she may not be getting fluids to replace what she may be losing. Put fresh water under her beak so she can drink as she needs it.

Next, if you have calcium, give her some. Not oyster shell. It takes too long to digest and absorb. She needs what @Wyorp Rock mentioned in the first thread, Calcium citrate. Give her one tablet now, and one tablet each day until she starts laying normal eggs.

The calcium citrate will stimulate contractions so she can more easily expel any egg material that is stuck inside her making her feel miserable. Keeping her hydrated and calm is very important. She would be better off in a box or crate in a quiet place so you can monitor what comes out of her.

Th wife here:
I saw her eat this evening but she was under a tree by herself not wanting to do anything when I found her pooping that. No idea on water. They do go drink water in the mornings when we let them free range (they also have water in their coop area)
The white stuff happened probably a few days ago or even a week ago. She did lay some good healthy eggs for a little while then She stopped laying and started that white stuff for 2 days straight. Then nothing. They were born April 2021 so young chickens. Her tail was down when I found her this afternoon near the trees alone. No idea what’s going on. Can’t find a lot of information that helps me. Would it be a calcium issue? If so what stuff could you find? This is our first time with chickens 🥰

What brand of tablet? Where can I find it for chickens? I searched online didn't turn up alot. Trying toaoe this easier for my wife to figure out tomorrow. And thanks for you help. Sorry Abt having the threads all over the place. I'm pretty tired and didnt think of putting it in the other post. She has access to alot of water and all chickens seems to drink it. Again thanks for your help. Just want to help her all I can

Walmart. Pry open the beak and shove one tablet inside. She will swallow it no problem. She won't choke.

So we got her some calcium citrate it's a different brand but same deal. She seems to be feeling alot better now and is not lethargic. We think she even laid an egg today it's an off color more white than brown but it's an egg. I'm guessing over the next few days they will return to normal. One more follow up question they had access to corid treated water (thinking it was coccidia which it's not) for an hour at night before bed, not sure if any chicken actually drank any but if they were to have drank a small amount how long do I need to wait before we eat any eggs? I was thinking a week as we aren't even sure if they got any or had very much at all.

She still seems to be acting normal but today we got another one of these

it's looks a little better than the first time but just not normal. She is getting her calcium every day. I'm also starting to think it might be the feed because sometimes one or two others wont lay. I'm feeding an ncs layer feed made by a local that is mostly flax and barley looks like the picture it has alot of other things in it.

Alot of powder is left everyday in the bottom of the feeder and I'm am concerned that this where all the nutrients are they also don't seems to eat that much of it.im really starting to wonder if this is the creator of my problems. Should I go back slowly to the other feed? We never has issues on it but wanted to get away from more expensive store bought feed.
