its the first time i hatch chickens a friend told me that i can make an incubator on my own i got a box and i connected a lamp to it and i added to cups of water to the box i just like to know if its possible for them to hatch and by the way the temp. is around 40 degrees C
pls help me i dont know if i should switch it off pls i need ur help:)

Is it sealed at all to keep the heat in? Your temp is a little high. We need more details on it to really give much help. Is it just an open box with a heat lamp and cups of water?

its a closed wooden box
and i putted 9 eggs from today

Did you drill any holes in it for ventilation? Search on here for homemade incubators and you will see what other people have done to create an incubator. I haven't done it myself, but it looks like there is more to it then a box, lamp, and a cup of water. So I would look around. If you just set them today you may still have time to make some adjustments. Make sure you have the large end up and turn them around three times a day. Have you read any guides on incubating eggs at all?

40c is 104f. this is too hot. you need 99.5f if you have a fan and 100-101f for a still air. 104 is way too hot, it will cook the eggs.
