Help plz! Hen has a bald butt!!

Okay my hubby has done it again!!! Once again he buys another hen w/ problems, well maybe. When we got home & I was finally able to see the hen I noticed her whole hind area was pretty much plucked clean!! She seems fine, aside from a cold hinny, but wanted to get y'all's opinion on the matter. Here are some pics to show what I'm talking about.

I have no idea what caused that but my first thought would be check her for mites and practice safe quarantine in case she has them!

Watch to see if other hens are picking the feathers out.This has happened to mine.I have one that lost them last summer and has not grown them back.Worried about her in the winter but she has been fine.I am not sure how to stop this if this is what you find happening.
