Help poorly chick

Thank you, and I will, been trying today, but everything locally (small village) closed or out of stock and everything online needed a prescription. :-(
Don't want to be in the same position again!
Hi again, hoping for a bit of advice
this hatch has been a baptism of fire, especially considering its my first one.
Had hoped my broody would have taken care of everything for me, but although she liked sitting on the eggs, she wasn't so keen on chicks and scalped the first one and attacked the next. Amazingly the scalped one survived, but now at 4 wks the scab seems to be growing into her skin, can you advise what to do. There is no vet at the weekend. It hasn't been bothering her till today, but this afternoon she seems sensitive when we pick her up to look at it flinching away if we touch her head. I was thinking about soaking it with warm salty water to soften and see if I can remove it, or is this a bad idea? Don't want to leave it till I can get an appointment and risk losing another one this weekend if there is something I can do :-(

I would clean the wound (use saline since the eye is affected too) and apply triple antibiotic ointment.

Oh...you are in the Uk(?) What type of ointment or salve do you have?

I’ve been cleaning with saline and coating with honey. When the scab has been cracking and she’s been shaking her head/scratching excessively at the scab I’ve applied some arnica cream, but only when the scab is covering the wound. It’s healing really well. It was very deep and large covering the whole side of her head. She pulled the scab off last week leaving that bit behind. The skin over the top seems to be growing over and around it now forming a ridge. Ive got chlorhexidine gluconate antiseptic cream and cetrimide antiseptic cream, but haven’t used this as it’s not poultry specific. I’ve ordered triple antibiotic ointment, but it’s not going to arrive for a week.
