Unfortunately passed later that night. I think it would’ve been fine if my parents caught it a day sooner. The rest of them are okay

Sometimes baby chicks from the hatcheries have failure to thrive. We ordered 15, got 18 from Cackle. Four failed to thrive. Brooders at 100 degrees can be too hot for them, which ultimately causes poopy butt.

Well, after thousands of chickens this is the only one we have lost. I just think the shipping stress was too much and my parents didn’t get to it as soon as they should’ve. They’re about to be too old for baby chickens lol
