Well, I just got back from the lab...with my birds!! Had I brought them in the building, they would have been surrendered to the lab. Knowing they were our pets they didn't want to kill them either. They did all the tests and swabs out in the parking lot so I would be able to take them home. Phew!! (though we're not out of the woods yet) They won't be testing for all chicken illnesses, just the bad ones. I guess the rest are treatable. The doctor said he hasn't seen Coryza in over 10 years and would be surprised if it was. I was told to keep them separated from the rest of the flock until I receive the results and to treat everyone with Tetracycline for two weeks. I had that stuff all the while, but bought a fresh package from the TSC just in case. Now the waiting game on the results. Wish us luck!
