Casportpony did your two birds live?![]()
I had to work on my duck several times a day for many days, but she did have to pass three or four eggs. It was easier in some ways with the duck because I could just fill up the bath tub and close the sliding glass doors. I didn't bathe the chicken, but I did leave her in the bathroom after I filled it with lots of steam. Again, several times a day. Get yourself some latex gloves and very gently see if you can feel the egg in her vent. Use lots of lube.Tried soaking her again last night, but she did not drop her egg. I had to put her back in the pen this morning due to having to go to work. She is acting normal now just eating and such. I will put it in God's hands while I'm at work and bath her again this evening. I pray that she will make it through this. I read up on calcium could help her drop her egg. I might try that too. Poor poor baby I wish I could do more to help her but I dont want to risk hurting her by collapsing the egg ~Sigh~
