Help!! Possible Eye Problem

Yesterday I went to let the ducks out and Nibbler’s right eye is all janky... his eyeball appears okay and was focusing (may be slightly darker) and the membrane is intact and working fine, just looks weepy and discolored around the perimeter. I wiped it with warm water and put some opthalmic ointment I had for the dog on it in case it was a bacterial or fungal infection. Has anyone seen this before? Any insight?

Do they have buckets of clean water they can wash their heads with regularly?

I have a goose that had "crazy eyes" when I first got him and I used Curicyn drops, as well as terramycin ointment about 3 times a day.

It's possible he's accidentally scratched himself.

i used visine pinkeye gel on a duck before too, but ide recomend using what @DiYMama540 seid first if its available to you

Alot of people use apple cider vinagar in their water too as a treatment and more of a precaution

They have a pond filled with fresh rainwater... also thinking he may have scratched it somehow. I’ll look into getting those meds and wipe it down more than once a day. It looked *slightly* better this morning, but still not good.

wiping might make it worse and push dirt into the eye more, if you want to clean it you could use a saline solution and pour it over the eye, in a light stream over the eye

Saline solution would be good for starters washing the eye out in case debris in there then the eye ointment.
