Help! Problem with eye!

So I have bantam Brahma hens and I just noticed one of theirs eyes are wired. it doesn’t look Pusey, she was just sitting there with only her right eye closed so I picked her up to look and it looked like it was stuck closed but then a few minutes later she opened it up. I don’t know any ideas???

Can you see any drainage or crust around the eye, or any bubbles in the eye? I would open it and look around for any dirt or debris, and look around the eye for any peck marks. You can use saline eye wash from your pharmacy to lubricate the eye and watch it. If it looks red or sunken, you might want to ask a clerk for some Terramycin or Vetromycin eye ointment from your feed store which would treat an infection. Does she have any other symptoms?

Not that I know of, tomorrow I will have to watch her closely and see how she does.

I would wash the eye well with sterile saline and go from there. It’s possible she just got something in it.
