My ducks were breeding way before the girls were laying. She most likely will not lay until next spring again. She’s taking winter off which is good for her body.

Yup! I might use Marty though, I’m trying to decide because he is a very handsome boy! But I don’t want to harm any ducklings!

So the drakes crested? See if you can find someone who loan you an incubator Pekins are not produced for brooders but for meat so many have had that instinct bred out of them.

Your pekin is unlikely to hatch the eggs for you. They're bred to be eaten, not live long enough to have a nest, plus they're usually too heavy for a nest. If you want to have ducklings, you'll need to wither buy or borrow an incubator for them

Is your drake crested? If you want ducklings and can’t afford to buy maybe you have a friend who would loan you an incubator? Pekins because they are produced mainly for meat production ( although many of us also care for them as pets and for eggs) have had the brooding instinct bred out of them. And won’t sit on their eggs to hatch them so incubating is the only option
