HELP!PULLETS DYING IN GROUPS.3 DEATHS IN TWO DAYS!

Well, not sure it's why they are dying, but ground corn is not adequate feed for 3 month old birds. They can still be dying from cocci. Medicated feed may help, but it does not prevent it, especially when they aren't being fed it any longer. They could be getting into some poison maybe, maybe eating poisoned mice? Hard to say with no real symptoms other than sudden death.

Hey Jo Jo,
Sorry to hear about your chicks dying. I'am wondering if they're eating something toxic in your yard. I know that some plants are toxic to chickens.
Do you spray pesticides around your yard? If so, they could be eating plants, grass ect..that are toxic. It is unusual for birds to just up and die all of a sudden. I let my birds free range too but I make sure they dont stray too far away in the field where I dont know what they are eating.
I also feed my birds more than crushed corn. They get Scratch- Grain which has alot of nutrients for their growth.
they may not be getting enough nutrients with just crushed corn. Also, check their vents to see if they are clean and not compacted. (that is a huge issue with pullet's.) Make sure the water is clean and change it out when it gets muddy and cloudy looking and clean the water pale OFTEN.
I hope this advice helps. I learned the hard way after loosing 9 of my hens.
good Luck !!!
