Today, some of my quail chicks hatched, and one of them has their brain located outside of its head. The bleeding has stopped, and I am wondering if there is anything I can do for it

A quick culling is the only thing you can do when body parts are outside where they should be. However, post some pics if possible because unabsorbed yolk sack can sometimes look like a brain if you're not too familiar with what you're looking at.

Hopefully it will be alive when you get home. But only if what you saw was not actually its brain. If it was the brain outside its head, I hope it passes quickly.

This is the hard part of keeping livestock.

Definitely. The part was pinkish and had blood all over it. It was being avoided by the other two that hatched, and I am almost certain it was a brain.

You're going to have to put it down, I'm sorry. I can't see much but it doesn't look good.
Awh. Would it do any harm to try and keep it alive? I mean, the little one doesn’t look much in pain besides the fact that it has splayed legs
