Master Quaillius
Songster
I just got home from school and I found my 5 month old Golden Quail super weak and she couldn't move an inch by herself!
-Possible causes:
Last night I bought some hamster bedding for the quail. It's 100% natural, birch shavings and it has no alterations, no sawdust. She ate some the previous night; because she was curious.
I had a grass mat which has one of my quail's diarrhoea on it. I kept it outside for 3 months while the temperatures were at 50 degrees Celsius; it should have killed off any bacteria. Both of my quails have had experience Ulcerative Enteritis, and they shouldn't have had it again.
She might have just not eaten through the night and gotten weak from it, she has done that before but the results haven't been this bad. She gets all the protein and calcium she needs.
Please help, she won't eat and she wont even accept her favourite treat, cucumber!
