HELP! Quail with head wound! Showing flesh

Help! I walked into my quail aviary and found one of my quail with a wound on the back of her head. I think the male overbred her. I took out a little dog crate and she's in there with food and water right now. She's waling around, drinking, eating she seems fine except for the fact that she seems a little huddled up. Thoughts? What should I do?

It's been a couple hours she seems good but I'm still unsure. I can't put cream on her.

Why can’t you put cream on her? Not saying you should, but I have a hen in the same position. She wasn’t bred to death, but attacked badly.
