Keep it on for about 3 or 4 days, and check to see how they're going. If they are still curled, put another splint on. If they are 'uncurled', then take the splints off permanently. Check every few days, until you are happy they have 'uncurled'.

I think sillystunt said it was curly toe - curly toe paralysis - when chicks hatch out with their toes curled up.

Here is a pic I found on the net.

Ive got a baby chick, posted for help on how to boot it since its toes on one leg are curled...I made the boot, it took it off 4 times and I re did it every time....

I finally got it to stay on when the chick was 1 week old...I kept it on 4 days...I took it off, NOTHING...THE TOES ARE THE VERY SAME...

Any ideas? does this always work???
