Okay, so I read the great article on assisted hatching, and I am in the process of peeling away the shells on the air cell area for 6 of my keet eggs. They are overdue their hatch date. I attached a picture. Some of the eggs look mispositioned, do you agree? The are all moving, one is kind of moving a lot sometimes, how much is normal?? When are the veins and yolks going to be absorbed?? One egg, as you might be able to see, is positioned correctly (YAY!), its little mouth is making yawning motions, I assume it is absorbing its yolk!! More questions to come, lol. I am keeping them moist with with coconut oil.

I'd leave them be if they were mine. They don't look like they are ready to me.

Do you have a few good (tested) thermometers in your bator?

Okay, I think some are malpositioned, can they breathe??? How long approximately until they are ready to hatch? They were under an irresponsible broody during hatch, so maybe temps were too low. I am working on a diy bator, but i might just buy one to put them in it. Thank you for the reply!

Those look like they're a couple of days early. I'd put them back in the incubator and keep the humidity up around 70% so they don't dry out.

I would get yourself a thermometer/hygrometer and double check the incubator settings.

I have about 5 Govee brand ones, but found this deal so bought these as they fit in the incubator way better: https://www.ebay.com/itm/144046800814

They send 7. They are spot on correct.

Really, okay. That makes sense, I will. When do you think they be ready? I definitely agree, but the one with its beak in the right spot, it may hatch soon ish?? Or no?

I don't think they are ready to breathe. No telling how long
