I made a incubator out of a sytrofom cooler, basically Miss Prissy's design. I have 4 thermomators in there. They are all reading different temps. 3 are digatal and 1 is a small outdoor mercury. Digitals A and B are within 1.5 degrees of each other and the mercury is 1 degree of digital A. Digital C varies the most and i think is inaccurate. Currently when the light turns off A=101.3 B=100.0 C=104.3 Mercury=99.5. When the light comes on A=99.5 B=100 C=97.3 Mercury=97.5. I have never done this before and am looking for any help I can get. If there is a good quality thermomoter that i can buy that is realitivly inexpensive let me know. I am going to try incubating duck eggs when i get this figured out. What humidity level should i obtain for duck eggs.

Thank you for any advice or info:)

Wes

P.S. there are no eggs in there now

All the digitals seem pretty close. C may just be more sensitive than the others. If they have probes you could stick it in water an see how they all read. You could also teat them with a medical thermometer in the same water.

If any one of them are right an you touched nothing you would be ok.
