Help!! rabbit kindling trouble :(

400
. This is my 3 dayold I named Biggin. He was born almost 6 inches long. Momma let's me do as I please with him and I can rub her bell pet her and anything I want with her. During her pregnancy from the get go I would rub her belly message her back legs/hips fresh fruits and veggies water and food every day.

This morning nothing has changed, no babies, and there wasnt any more blood. this is my first time with rabbit pregnancy, the very first time   one of my bunnies had babies while i was away i had no idea she was pregnant! so i really have no expirence.

I dont want to feel her belly because she is nervous and kicks a lot and i dont want her to miscarriage. I did feel her earlier (with much struggle) on and i didnt feel anything.

How long are rabbits in labor for?????

I had the same thing happen. We didn't know my french angora doe was pregnant and she had four babies when I wasn't home. Sadly they all died. She just had a kit yesterday that was doing fine, I get home today, and she ate the whole baby!!! I was so upset!

Have you felt her stomach??  If you feel her stomach and you can feel kits in there then massage her stomach- if she is still laboring this should induce a contraction, continue this every 10min or so till she passes the kits other wise if this still doesn't work and you still feel them in there get her to a vet ASAP to have a emergency c-section otherwise she can get a massive infection and die from the dead kits in her.

Under normal circumstances having a larger doe with a smaller buck works out. But if you do not know the lineage of the buck there might have been a larger breed in there as well down the road at some point.

If this is her first litter there is always a chance anyways of having at least one larger than reg kit, if that kit tries to come out first it can block the birth canal for the rest of them causing all to pass away in the womb.

I'm sorry that you are going through this :( it is never easy.

I went through this type of situation last year with a Lionhead(lh) doe, I had to induce her contractions and help with gently getting them out of her. She ended up having too narrow of hips to have a successful litter with my LH buck

I hope for the best for you and your doe, please let me know how it goes

I have a question, I have a rabbit who was bread about 37 days ago and has not given birth or has not even build her nest yet. I put in her nest about 3 days before her due date and has not made her nest, she just does her business in their...I'm really worried for her....it is now day 37 and she hasn't build her nest yet...but I see she has some sort of discomfort...when she hops she does these sounds then she starts running like crazy and still doea the sounds and after that she just throws herself in the floor, but still she doesn't do her nest, I feel her stomach and I feel the kits still move in her belly...is it because she still has some time before she is ready to give birth?...because I doubt I miss counted...I was their when I bread her and it's not her first time...what can be the cause of this?...should I give her more time?...also...I notice she keeps on pressing her belly in the floor...in like a stretching poze...please reply...in really woried

Do you know how to palpate to see if there are any babies in there? If not, you need to learn how. Any good rabbit book has instructions on how to palpate a doe, and if you don't have such a book you ought to be able to find out how to do it online.
