help!! ready to move or not????

i have 17 Dominique chicks at 4 weeks of age and I am hoping to move them to a 6x10 (empty) coop I just finished. I will put heat lamp in with them because here in va we are still getting cold nights ( in the 30's). Question is will they be ok in that big of a space? and when will it be ok to turn off light? the space is all open and they cant reach roost yet I'm sure so they will have the whole floor space to themselves which is fine I just need to know if they will be TO COLD??? Thanks in advance cause I know I will get good advise here!!!!!

Have you been taking them outside to get them acclimated? They don't need a light if indoors at this age. They should do fine in the coop with added heat. They might not need it for long, if they have lots of hay to snuggle down into, and once they are acclimated.

They may not choose to roost for several weeks; this just varies.
