If they told you that the white hen do not lay eggs. They are born from a brown hen and a white rooster. You have a sex-link. but even so if its a white HEN then it will lay. If they breed them right then your white chick is a rooster. Most of the time when your breed a white rooster with any color hen or if you breed a white hen with any color rooster all the off spring willl be white. From what i understand white mask off other color traits. Lets just hope they didn't know what they are doing and you have a whie hen. That WILL lay!
