If anyone can help..I have waited years to get peacocks..now they have some kind of bugs on their heads and necks. They look like tiny red ticks..I do not want to make them sick. We had these on a turkey we adopted and we used adams flea spray with q tip..I want to know if this is a safe treatment for peafowl.. I am so worried aobut the..we should have never adopted that turkey..she has given bugs to our ducks..we got that under control..now my babies..any help is appreciated..like I said they are pretty big but not full grown. I went to take photos of them and I thought the red was a new color..no nasty bugs..hlep

If they are blood suckers, pour on ivermectin will get rid of them. I would treat all your birds, otherwise they will just pass them back & forth. Poultry dust should also work. You are going to have to treat their pens & coop as well.

Thank you, I will --we have been treating the pen, and the ground. We adopted a turkey that was in bad shape, well actually it was 2 of them..Elvis passed..Priscilla is the one who brought the bugs..I will treat all of the ground again and the birds..I have had ducks for years and never have I seen something so resilent to powders and sprays. I just wanted to make sure the adams was safe on peacocks..Thank you..never adopting a bird again..never
