I have already treated all of my flock of 7 week old chicks with one round of Corid that finished up about 2-3 weeks ago. Only one of the chicks had bloody poops last time and was separated and they were all treated. I followed up with yogurt for about a week after. All seemed good. Now a different chick is having occasional, but very bloody poops. Do I treat again with 5 days of Corid? Suggestions Please!!!!!!

It sounds like the Corid did not clear up the cocci. I would put her back on the Corid for a few days & then a course of Albon (sulfadimethazine) & see if that clears it up. The reason I'd repeat the Corid & then the sulfas is that I've ready that treating with Sulfas first in a bad case can cause internal bleeding. Karen
