I have healthy, growing and happy duck and geese. I do not, nor will I ever feed them chicken food or wild game food.
Now, I know a lot of people feed what I don't, that is their choice, and maybe it works for them! For me personally, being a first time hatcher and first time owner of duck and geese, I want to do it right, the first time. Meaning, I didn't want to worry about vitamin deficiency because I was feeding chicken feed and not duckling feed. I'm just following the goose/duck guidelines, and things are going well so far.
Great! I have a whole 50 pound bag of kelp I feed my sheep and horse. Is mashed fish (smelt) OK for geese besides chicks and ducks?
Thanks for the info!
