First time chicken lady. Bought 5 chicks from our local ifa. They are roughly 16 weeks old now. I know the white one with the big red comb is absolutely a rooster, he started crowing about a month ago, but the rest I’m unsure about. The grey and black ones were advertised as ameraucanas and the white ones were labeled barn mixes. They all have fluffy cheeks now, is it possible they’re all EE? I really don’t mind what breed they are, just Please tell me I don’t have a bunch of roosters 😂

If you start having fighting or overbreeding problems you could A. get rid of the hen and have a rooster flock or B. get more hens/get rid of roosters to level out the ratio.I have heard rooster flocks are easier to keep if they were raised together. If you go with route B the recommended hen to roo ratio is 1 roo to every 8-12 hens.
