Help! Rooster attacking me

I have had a really friendly rooster from when he was a chick, but yesterday he started jumping up at me and attacking me for no reason. How has he turned from a really friendly cockrel to attacking me and how can this be stopped?

He can sense if you are scared of him. My suggestion would be to chase him and hold him down next time he does this. This shows him that you are the alpha. Should solve the problem after a time or two.

Ive already done this and i think he already knows that im the alpha.

In that case, sounds like it’s time to either take him to the auction or turn him into chicken soup!

Im sad to here that as i dont think anyone will want to buy a agressive cockerel so i may have to put him down Any other suggestins?

Human aggressive animals are not needed. His attacks will only get more aggressive. Sadly it's time to Cull him. Too many good Roosters looking for homes..

Thats a shame but i guess ill have to now as it seams thiers no alternative. Was his change in behaviour due to hormones?

Hormones and think they are protecting the flock. Certain breeds can be more aggressive too. It just depends on the Cockerels..
