I noticed today that my rooster's tips of his toes are black and burgundy. He is sitting down a lot, and appears to limp when he walks. I have checked and this is not bumblefoot, so what could this be? If anyone knows what it is, how can I heal it? Help is greatly appreciated.

there is a preventative, vaseline . depending on how bad it is he may lose some toes. i am not sure of treatment. im sorry. you can use the search bar and look up frost bite. if it recommends antibiotic lotion just make sure you DONT use the kind with pain reliever. it is toxic to chickens
