Help. Rouen duckling with protruding belly button

Hello...Get it out of the incubator and place in the Brooder. You can use rubbing alcohol on its belly button just like with all babies. It's umbilical needs to dry up..It needs to bond with hatch mates..Being in the incubator is too high of humidity on new lungs...

If you want to apply an antiseptic on the umbilicus you can use betadine or chlorhexidine.

This is for foals, but the same applies to poultry:
It’s also not advisable to treat the umbilical stump with strong antiseptics. Many foals end up with umbilical infections from overzealous treatment of the umbilicus with strong antiseptics. I advise treating it once only, with a dilute antiseptic (chlorhexidine) solution.

I have used it on my infants to help dry the cord like actual babies but they never had an open wound. But everyone has their own style some might think it is crazy but I bet everyone of you have been told you where wrong in your life lol. So no need for argument it's just an opinion. I hope you all have a wonderful day. And think you so much for your support and help.
