HELP!!! Roundworms? What should I treat them with?

I think if you do the water then I believe its for three days in a row and then again in 10 days for 2 days. Do a search on Wazine Dosage in the search to make sure though.

You can use either or just use the Wazine if you know that its only roundworms, thats all Wazine is for.

It can only be roundworms because roundworms are the only worms that are over 2 inches and the worm I found was over two inches.

Ok then the Wazine is fine. If you plan on worming on a regular basis then you need to use something else on the next cycle of worming. I worm 2 times a yr unless its a really rainy season then do an extra one. I also try to plan my worming around the chickens. If I have a bunch of broodies then I will worm everyone but them after the chicks are weaned then the broodies get dosed. If laying slows or stops I go ahead and worm. This way I dont throw a bunch of eggs away. Usually late fall or early winter and then after the spring hatches. Late summer again when got a lot of broodies if its been rainy.


Example of my schedule:


Wazine first dose and then Safeguard on second dose

Valbazen

Wazine first dose and then Panacur second dose

Ivermectin

I just keep alternating them around and never use the same wormer one everytime. They say worms dont build a tolerance to Valbazen but I figure I would do the same as I would if I was doing a horse worming schedule.

Wazine is a one day wormer, Mixed at 1oz per gallon of water grown birds only needs to consume a tad over 2 1/2 oz's of the mixture to be effective. They will easily do this by noon provided water is withheld the evening before. Also, Any wormer should be repeated in 7-10 days
