Hi there. I have 5 baby chicks. Four Cochin and one Easter layer. Hoping someone can help me try to figure out the sex of them.
Thank you so much.

There isn't a whole lot to go on here and the tails aren't in view in most pics. A little bit more feathers need come in before an accurate guess can be made. Number 4 does appear to have the most comb development so far, but that could be deceiving as well.

How old are they?
Did you buy straight run or hatch your own?
Bought them from a store. They were straight run. The girl held them up to see if they pulled their legs up or not. I guess that's a way of sexing? 50/50 chance right?

Yep, 50/50 is right! :gig
There's a ton of "myths" out there, but if they're not sex-links or vent sexed as day olds, it's gonna be hard to determine anything til about 6-8 weeks, sometimes later.

Try to get photos of the full body (side view) and maybe a front view of the comb of each chick, then click the "full-size" button when posting pics next time, so we can get a good zoom view. The shape of the hackle, saddle and tail feathers have a lot to say, as well as the comb and legs.
