Help sexing my Polish

Hi all,

My Polish, who is about 6 weeks old. I was thinking girl, mainly because of the speed with which she feathered, but I'm no expert. Any ideas? Thank you.

Are you positive on the age? It looks much older than 6 weeks to me. If it is 6 weeks, you've very likely got a cockerel.

If that's a 6 week bird, then its a cockerel, based upon the color and size of those wattles. They're really big for a bird that age.

I agree, it looks older than 6 weeks. I feel as though I've seen the same exact set of pictures before...did you buy it from someone on here?

Thankyou. I've just looked back on some of my posts because I couldn't remember exactly when my Polish hatched, and it is actually 8 weeks old. Does that make a difference? Or do I still have a cockerel? If that's the case, this particular hatch im left with 100% males!! I did have 1 female BO but she didnt make it.

And @bantamsrmyfav, no didn't buy, I hatched this little Polish (well, my broody hen did!) and I only took the pictures last night. You must be experiencing deja vu haha.

agreed, at that age, definitely a cockerel. The wattles are too big and too red to be a pullet at 8 weeks.

I know they are only 5 weeks old, but there is definitely a clear gender difference between the chicks in these two columns! Which column has which gender do y'all think?
