Help sexing my Silkies

They can, if they're kept separate from any girls. Let me know what they turn out to be.... Silkies are particularly difficult, but I'm pretty certain you have at least three boys.
Hopefully you get one layer to please him.
Yes of course I will Thankyou for all your help

Roosters fight over hens. If you want to have a rooster flock you have to keep it separate from your flock of hens, because otherwise your roosters will fight each other and your hens get overmated. Are roosters legal where you are? If you want to keep all of your chickens, I would recommend keeping them together until you reach the hormonal teenage stage, and at that point separate them, unless you have all roos, in which case you can just give them a bachelor pad and order some sexed females. If you want, once your sexed chicks are mature, you can choose a roo (probably the calmest one) to integrate in with the girls. In that case, you probably want 6 ladies with one roo, or more ladies.

Hi
There are no laws about keeping roosters Where I live
We have loved raising them
Obv not the ideal situation if I have 4 roosters
Will have to see as was hoping for at least 1female
Thankyou for reply

No problem! Hatching eggs can be tricky because you can't control the genders. If you want, you could probably get them DNA sexed-it is a bit expensive but might be worth it. You send in feathers and they use the DNA to determine gender. From what I've read on BYC, it is about $13 a chick.

I'm very much afraid you have four boys.
Would you consider buying sexed chicks next time? The you won't have to worry about cockerels. Are you able to keep the males in your area?
